Recap & Photos: Brews For New Avenues 2016

Brews For New Avenues, the annual rare beer auction in Portland OR, has officially taken the title of our favorite beer party of the year!

Held at The Left Bank Annex on August 27th, this year's event had an amazing lineup of auction items from such breweries as Hair of the Dog, Cascade, The Bruery, Jester King, Stone, Hill Farmstead and dozens of others. Live music, food trucks, silent and live auctions, the "Wall of Beer" ($10 for a spot to pick from the beers hidden in numbered bags), and draft beer from great local and international breweries were all featured.

Our collaboration blends with De Garde Brewing were on sale and by the end of the night over 500 of each had been sold with +$15K in profits going to New Avenues For Youth.

Thanks to the hard work of all the people at New Avenues, over $150,000 was raised to benefit Portland's at-risk youth, more than their first four years combined! They also set a personal auction item record at $3.4k for a single bottle of rare Cantillon.

Special shoutouts to the folks at De Garde (Trevor, Linsey, Mark), everyone at New Avenues (Andy, Jeremy, Jessica, James, Don, etc), Chris Gomez from CBE, Tamara Tonozzi, and everyone who attended.

Now where the hell am I going to put the $700 in beer I won bids on? Shit.
